Big Stone 72-Hour Feed Status
No official Big Stone County 72-hour release feed or current county jail roster was verified. The Big Stone County Sheriff’s official page lists contact channels but no rolling release list. The state legislative jail study explains the reason: Big Stone County does not operate a jail facility.
That fact changes the three-day task. A Big Stone arrest may lead to lodging in a surrounding county, and the destination may differ by person or date. One neighboring jail’s recent-release view cannot serve as a full countywide list. It mixes its own cases with outside holds and may not contain all Big Stone matters. The Sheriff must identify where each person was confined.

Do not force unlike records into one conclusion. “Released from jail” may describe the end of one facility’s custody. “Discharged” usually refers to the end of a sentence or agency jurisdiction. A transfer is not a community release, even when the person disappears from the first jail’s roster.

Big Stone County’s no-jail status is more than a missing website feature. It means the countywide three-day picture may require more than one physical source. Bed arrangements can change. The legislative study does not name a permanent exclusive receiving jail, so no fixed surrounding-county feed should be hard-coded as comprehensive. Ask the Sheriff for the actual destination in each case. Then use that facility’s official roster, release view, or records office.

Preserve Big Stone Release Proof
A web window is a short view, not the legal retention period. An entry can age out after a day or several days while the underlying government data remain held under the responsible agency’s retention rules. No online retention period can be stated for a nonexistent Big Stone release feed.
Use the county Data Practices Policy to ask for existing public data. Narrow the request to a person and date range. Ask for arrest or booking time, physical lodging site, transfer date and destination, release date and time, release authority, charge, and booking number. The policy allows inspection, copies, or both, and public inspection is free.
Send a parallel request to the receiving jail. Big Stone may own the arrest and transport facts, while the jail owns the release transaction. The county need not create a custom 72-hour spreadsheet if it does not maintain one. Request the source fields instead.

It is not a full historical archive. The correct facility must be the jail that actually received the Big Stone detainee.
For a person committed to the Commissioner of Corrections, use the MN DOC Public Viewer. Its scope includes adults in prison and people released from prison who remain under DOC supervision. It does not turn a Big Stone county-jail stay into a DOC record, and a person who has fully discharged may no longer appear.
